Africa Day.
# Why I Made an Album for Africa Day: "Africa Shall Be Saved"
**By Pastor Chivanda | May 2, 2026 | Pretoria, South Africa**
At 3AM last month, I couldn’t sleep. I kept hearing a drum.
Not an Amapiano log drum. Not a Nigerian Afrobeats loop.
It was the **ZBC News drum** — that *Dum - tiki-tiki - Dum Dum* that made every Zimbabwean child stop playing and run to the TV. The sound that made your grandmother turn up the volume and your father sit up straight. The sound that said: *"Listen. This is important."*
And God whispered: *"If ZBC used drums to announce national news, use drums to announce Good News. For Africa."*
**So on 25 May 2026 — Africa Day — I’m releasing a 6-track prophetic album called "Africa Shall Be Saved."**
### **1. The Question That Started Everything**
Why does the world know "We Are The World" but Africa has no anthem for her own day?
On 25 May 1963, our fathers gathered in Addis Ababa and formed the OAU. Kwame Nkrumah, Haile Selassie, Sekou Touré… and a young Robert Mugabe sat in that room and declared: *"Africa is for Africans. We are not Europeans. We belong to Africa."*
63 years later, where is our song? Where is the drum that calls 1.4 billion people to remember who they are?
### **2. The Sound: From ZBC to the Nations**
This album doesn’t start in a studio. It starts in the village. In the stadium. In the spirit.
**Track 4: "25 May"** opens with that same ZBC News drum. Then children chant all 54 African nations — from Algeria to Zimbabwe. Then we decree over North, West, East, Central, and Southern Africa. Baba Mugabe’s voice reminds us: *"Africa is for Africans."* Then we prophesy: *"Africa shall be saved."*
**Track 3: "Simudzai Mureza weZimbabwe"** takes the flag-raising song every Zimbabwean sang in school and turns it into prayer: *"Mwari vari kutonga! Zimbabwe ndeyedu! Yeshua Amen!"*
This is **Ngoma + Kora + Amapiano + Makwaya** meeting at the altar. It’s ancestral. It’s modern. It’s holy. It’s the sound of a continent waking up.
### **3. This Is Not Political. It’s Prophetic.**
Yes, we quote Baba Mugabe. Because he was there in 1963. He was a father of liberation, flaws and all. We honor the *office* of the elder, not the politics of the party.
Yes, we name Zimbabwe. Because I’m Zimbabwean. Because charity starts at home.
But this album prays for **Algeria to Zambia**. For the child in Cairo and the grandmother in Cape Town. For the boy in Kinshasa and the girl in Kigali.
We decree over the continent:
- No more children without schools
- No more borders without bridges
- No more mines that don’t bless the poor
- No more coups without purpose
### **4. Why 25 May 2026?**
Because Africa doesn’t need another sad song. She doesn’t need another charity single.
She needs a **birth certificate**. A date where the Church says: *"From this day, we move from lament to decree. From aid to authority. From divided to united."*
The same way that ZBC drum called a nation to attention at 6PM, these drums are calling a continent to her destiny at 2026.
### **5. The Track List — A Journey**
1. **Africa Shall Be Saved** — The intercession. The cry in the night.
2. **Mtoto Wa Afrika** — A Swahili lullaby to every African child: *You are loved. You are chosen.*
3. **One Africa** — No more xenophobia. Shona, Zulu, Swahili, Arabic, French — one choir.
4. **Simudzai Mureza** — Zimbabwe’s national decree. *Lift the flag. Don’t drop it.*
5. **25 May** — The Africa Day anthem. 54 nations, one voice.
6. **That's My Africa** — The love letter. The dance. The celebration.
### **6. Join Me in This Sound**
1. **Pre-save** the album on 10 May — link dropping soon
2. **Learn the chorus** to "25 May" — we want 54 nations singing it by Africa Day
3. **Tag your flag** — Comment below: Which country are you repping?
To my Zimbabwe: *Simudzai mureza. Usaudonhedze. Mwari ari panzvimbo.*
To Africa: *Your time is now. Your children are ready. Your dawn has come.*
To the Church: *Pray like it’s 6PM news. Urgent. National. Holy.*
**"Africa Shall Be Saved" drops 25 May 2026 on all platforms.**
This is not music. It’s a broadcast.
From Cape to Cairo. From Harare to the nations.
Yeshua Amen.

**P.S.** If that ZBC drum made you run to the TV as a child, wait until you hear what God does with it now.
**Produced for the nations. Mastered in heaven. Released on earth.**
